hi guys just wondering what the prices are for a glass / bottle of house wine in the bars as the wife and mother in law are wine monsters

Hi dazza, The cost of a glass of wine is approx 8 lira and a bottle is anything from 30lira in a restaurant. Bottles of wine are far cheaper in the supermarket. My sister and I always have a bottle

...agree with that - there is a particular variety (can't remember the name right now) that my friend and I fondly refer to as 'memory loss rose' !! Even with a 2 course meal, one bottle shared got us both trolleyed!!! so although its a bit more expensive in the restaurants, you'll definitely get your money's worth

I only paid 5 lira in most places, although I do agree it does get you trolleyed

30 lira max is a fare price to pay for a decent bottle in a restaurant when you consider what it is in uk.
