Favourite Turkish food

Postby Moon » 07 Sep 2006 07:09

Hi everybody,

To stay in the holiday mood a little bit longer, what is your favourite turkish dish ?
The ones I like very much are as a starter sigara boregi (cheese rolls) or a nice coban salatasi ( sheperd salad ) and as a maincourse the ottoman or anatolian kebabs ( the ones you get in a casserole or steel frying pan )
Tell me yours !!

Love from Holland

Sigara Börek is my absolute favourite (but only if it's freshly prepared as in the Lighthouse/Chef restaurants).

Also love the pitta bread and mezzes, washed down with a bottle of Villa Doluca Moskado wine

Yummmmy....

I know it's not "Turkish" food but I just can't get enough of the steaks.
2 pounds of prime TBone for eight quid!
