just got back to reality!

Hi everyone,
we have just arrived home at 6.45pm, and i just wanted to tell you that once again we had a fantastic hol. the weather had cooled a little but was really hot, somedays i found it was a bit unbearable as we like to walk around the old village. we saw some apartments called Mama Tuncay and wondered if they belong to tuncay apts which we couldn't find. i also keep saying i will try somewhere else but am already thinking about next year. we went into marmaris on the dolmus and i was a little bit aprehensive but the locals have to travel this way to get to work everyday and everyone is very vigilant. on our way to the airport we were stopped a few times by soldiers with guns as extra security precautions are in force and i did feel safe because the turkish seem to be trying to help us to feel this way.
we found it a little too hot to eat 5 course meals but we had some lovely kebabs on the beach, and there was a pizza shop next door to our apts which was quite good. we went to taj mahal for a curry last sat and once again it was delicious.
we went into heaven bar near the beach and the breeze from the sea when youre sipping vodka sprite listening to the disco was great.
also had some good nights in majestic boys, captain bullshits & hobnobs dance bar where the waiters were dancing their folk dances and if your feet don't start tapping then you must be miserable!! i didn't think it was quiet and we got no hassle at all, well polite hassle. my friend went into a jewellers and haggled with him over the price, and i think he really enjoyed it, it was hilarious. sorry i'm going on a bit but all of you going soon i am soo jealous!!

great report seems like you had a good time and iam glad to know its still hot as we have just booked for 3rd sept 2007 and my daughter keeps t
elling me it will be cold as we usually go in August
the tuncay appartments are next door but one to the Dost restaurant if you found that front enterance is opposite the Rhodes appartments and near the Daystar appartments hope this helps

It will be cold compared to this year ... take ya fleece and you will be ok haha ... Glad you had a fantastic time, I think anybody that goes to Icmeler loves it no matter who they are.
