Mozzies

its my first time staying in icmeler. people keep talking about the canal. whats it like for mozzies in icmeler i believe they love watery areas.

I'm a mozzie magnet and get bitten almost eveywhere (even here in Scotland, where the midges love me too!) but I honestly don't find it that bad in Icmeler. They have a person who goes round spraying for them, which seems to keep them down. I would still use insect repellent of some kind, especially in the evenings, which is when they tend to come out.

Its the one resort where I have never had a bite. As Blondie says the streets are sprayed through the night which seems to control them. But just in case I dont walk on the grass and use mossie spray in the evening.

Just spray Avon skin so soft dry oil (the green one) just before you go out in the evening. For some reason they don't like it.

That's what I do too, Helen - seems to be the thing which works best for me. The lemon cologne which you can buy virtually anywhere in Icmeler is also supposed to help too - loads of people swear by it.

the mozzies like my kind of skin as im very fair but not had too much of a problem in icmeler
sometimes i dont get biten at all and sometimes just a few
i stayed there for 13 weeks last summer and probably had about 10 bites in total

I am also a magnet for mozzies, but with the Avon SSS I dont have a problem. The only time I did have quite a few bites, was when I stayed in an apartment down by the canal, otherwise, I have been fine. I didnt tend to use too much of the SSS that year though, so as long as you keep spraying the oil, you will be fine.
