Nice,Pleasant,Well Mannered and Friendly.
All these things that we love and admire in our Turkish and Kurdish hosts.

If we appreciate all these fine traits in people why dont we try to adopt the same attitude ourselves.

Why is it that as soon as we have left the resort and get to the airport we revert back to our aggressive ill mannered ways?

Is it that we like to be treated with respect by others but are not prepared to be nice to each other once we leave our resort.

It may be just me and I apologise.
So I will make a note to myselfe,
"Be nicer to other people and show more respect to others"

Gene,

You have summed up the situation precisely. One of the things that keeps me going between visits to Icmeler is that I try to adopt the respectful, pleasant attitude of the Turks with people that I come into contact with at home - and guess what? It really works, people tend to respond positively and it makes me feel happy too! I'm really looking forward to my next trip now - in three weeks' time (and counting every second) I will be in Icmeler. Must get my travelling outfit ready this weekend!
