Hi Chris I would recomend that you buy your cigaretts at the duty free as you come into Dalaman unless you want to buy them as you go along. I would also recomend that as we have been told by the reps in the past "that buying cigaretts in bulk at a resort to take home is classed as being black market & you can have them taken off you as you go through Dalaman Airport & can be arrested "( this is what we were told by the reps) I had a friend who bought tobacco from a shop in Icmeler upon arriving home the found out it was not true tobacco but tobacco bits & un smokable it cost them about £40? When you think about it the shops do not sell English cigaretts that are on display but have them under the counter or come back later we will have some for you . 8)

menthol marlboro or menthol salem 7.5lira which is 3 pounds.
normal cigarettes like winston or winston lights are 5.5 lira which is 2.2 pounds.at duty free was more cheaper.
u can buy from turkey aswell to take back home but at duty free in dalaman i got 400 benson hedges for 40 pounds.there were lot of offers on ciggarettes at dalaman.dont buy tabacco from turkey like golden virginia or similiar ones because they are fake.i will be at tandoori sizzler from monday till end of season if u need more help see u there.

Packed in 12 months this month after 30 years, but the missus still smokes. Only been to Icmeler twice and landed at 6 in the morning and last year at 1 in the morning, but the duty free was never open, unless I missed something. On the way back we bought fags from duty free, let me know if I did actually miss the oppurtunity to get fags from duty free ( the missus) we land around 1 in the morning again this year in August, would save her sending me out to get her ciggies every day as I tend to partake in several effes on my way to get em. :D

I'm sure the duty free at arrivals is open at 1am, it's near the luggage carosel where you collect your baggage.

I landed around that time last September and I'm sure I bought some unless I'm losing my memory and bought them on the plane :?

Thanks for that. We just got our cases and belted our way to visa control, got out there and it was a billow of smoke to compare to a forrest fire. She's happy now.
