Imperial Apartments

Postby Glasgow Girl » 15 Jun 2006 21:18

Hi folks

Was booked with *** to stay in the Arsemia apartments in September but after seeing the reviews on here I asked to be moved. They have given us the Imperial apartments. Has anyone ever stayed in them? If so what are they like? Also where abouts on the main road are they?

imperial appartments

Postby Cathy102 » 08 Jul 2006 09:25

We stayed at the Imperial last year and have booked again this year we are going 2 august, so obviously we were very pleased with it. The staff are very helpful and friendly. It is situated on the edge of town but still quite busy around that area, close to the market, next to a supermarket and about 10-15 mins walk to the beach. The rooms are quite basic but clean, Hope you have a good time.

Hello have not long arrived home from icmeler and the imperial apartments I thought id share my experience. We were only minutes in the room when we realise we had water coming through our bathroom ceiling. 2 of the 3 sockets in the bedroom didnt work and half the lights didnt work! Im managed to blow the electrics in the apartment by trying my hairdrier in the 3rd socket. The room itself was in no way equipped for a self catering holiday, it was carpetted which smelled, there were only towels for one and we were only given a sheet to cover the mattress and no top sheet! I complained that night and was assured that I would be moved to a better room when people moved out the next day. Was happy with that so went for dinner and thought we end the night with a night cap at the Imperials bar. They charged 6lira for an efes dark!! I coulda got 2 on the canal for that, it was a complete rip off! I spoke with my rep the next day and she and the general manager came to the room. He explained that the flooding was caused by the people having a shower above us and gave the impression that I should get over it and just accept it. I insisted on being moved, and at 1st he said he had nothing else but when i insisted he said we could have an attic room. We had a look and it was a lot smaller but was a lot better. It was a virtual mathematical impossibility to get into the shower and was just aswell myself and mum are young and fit, thought I was gonna pull the sink off the wall trying to squeeze myself up and past it to get in. We spent as little time as possible in this place and although our sheets and towels were changed occassionally there was no cleaning of any description. Its a real shame because with its excellent location, the place just needs a bit of basic maintenance and some TLC oh and not forgetting a good clean and some staff that care. Sorry for rabbling but think it important that anyone considering this place is given all the facts x
