REAL TURKISH FOOD.

Postby fifegirl » 18 Apr 2011 17:43

Hi there. Can anyone tell me the name of the Turkish restaurant that is above the underground market at the back of Kingsland? My sister, brother in law, and myself went there last year for a meal. Food was first class. Its where a lot of the locals and shopkeepers go to eat. There are stalls selling clothes and towels at the entrance. Want to go again this year. Was recomended to us by Jack who has the T shirt shop across from the nightclub on the main street, and we werent dissapointed.Would recommend it to all newbies to Icmeler. Thankyou.

Is this the place opposite the Litera hotel entrance?
Its called Agra or Arya and serves great food.
Its run by a lovely family and the prices are very reasonable.

Thankyou Jay. Thats the one im speaking about. My brother in law had the real lamb hotpot and said it was amazing. My sis and I had chicken dishes and they were first class and very reasonably priced. The family who run it are really nice, and very friendly. Will be paying them a visit this year when im over. Thanks again. :D

this place was called Aysia when we were there in september 2010. we didn't eat in it though but it did seem to be fairly popular.
