Scottish Flight Prices

Why do we Scots have to pay more to fly to Turkey. Our kids are off school for a week in October an we have been quoted 339-400 pounds just for flights. That would be 1600 pound for the 4 of us for a week. Could this maybe be why people are not going to Turkey this year. We would fly from England but flying from Manchester etc adds a hell of a lot of travelling on to a weeks holiday. Can anyone shed some light on this.

What i forgot to say was we paid only 800 quid in July for our flights- just seems unfair

Totally agree with you! Everything may be cheaper in Turkey but getting there isnt any cheaper! This difference in flight prices between Scotland and England really infuriates me I have flown from Manchester and London before but wouldnt make that travel for one weeks holiday. Its a long enought journey to Icmeler without the added burden of having to make your way down to England first of all. We Scots have been getting ripped off for years with flight prices

Totally agree with you about the scottish flight prices. We have alway flown from Newcastle to Turkey as we usually get a free child place from there. You should try NO DVERTISING OTHER COMPANIES PLEASE as I was quoted £179 from glasgow for our school october week.

Scottish flight prices are a disgrace.one well known airline advertised £.14.50 each way but when you add supplements it comes to over £155.

We had the same problem with prices......we have ended up flying to from Prestwick to Stansted then Stansted to Dalaman to try save some money. We saved about £100 each doing it this way. We fly out on Friday 13th October for one week.
