Can anyone who has just been give us an update on the progress at Dalaman Airport? Have they sorted out their check in procedures yet? Seems to be on returns where there is a problem... :?

Hi,

We flew home from the new airport in June and it had only just opened. There is a massive duty free shop with different sections with everything in and then upstairs there is the food part. There is a McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut and a sandwich shop - think there's a couple more but can't remember. Nice and clean throughout but I suppose that's because it's new

Only had half an hour after checking in because there were computer problems and we had to queue for nearly two hours.

Flew home from Dalaman this morning. Have to say could not believe the difference from last year, finally some organisation. We waited aout 20 minues to check in. There are plenty of eating places, all in all I would say 100 % better.

Well that encouraging Jules! Last year was a complete fiasco, just could not be worse than that. Coming back we nearly missed ouf flight the queues were so long, we had to wait on the coach nearly one and a half hours just to get near the airport. The rep was beside herself so stressed!!!

Hi we flew back from dalaman on the 20th August, we had no problems we thought we would after the problems the week before when no hand luggage was allowed. We had packed all our hand luggage into our cases and they were all over weight we told the girl this and she just winked at us. They seem to be much more polite now especially when you first arrive there and they check your passports we had all women this year and they were lovely. the new airport is very modern and clean loads of eating places and lots of duty free. When we returned home we only had to wait about 20 mins at check in but there were loads of people there, I think they coped with it all quite well.

Yes we went through yesterday, straight through the initial scanners, no queing outside like before. However, it took us 50 mins to check our luggage in, but generally a vast improvement on last year! :D
