Tell her to google Kaleica,it is the Old part of Antalya,no beach of its own but has an harbour, beaches either side of the town can be reached by local transport.
Plenty of winding streets, can be hilly with a lot of steps.
Plenty of converted Turkish houses into Boutique Hotels and lots of backpackers accomodation.
Sounds a lovely place in Antalya.

We stayed there about 5 years ago in a converted ottoman mansion called the Alp Pasa, for a week. It is a lovely area and there is a small private beach that you get to through a cafe and pay before you go down to it. Antalya the new city is very modern and a lot more expensive than Icmeler. The staff in the hotels found it very expensive if they needed any work clothes. We found a few places that were reasonable to eat.We took the tram to the big beach and again it was really expensive for drinks and snacks and we tried to pay with a £20 note and that had to be run up to a hotel and changed and we got a poor rate. It was worth going but we combined it with a week in Side and we much preferred Side. We love the beach and Side has a lovely beach in the old town.Again we stayed in a B&B right in the old town, not in the new hotels that are outside of Side.

Youre welcome :D Icmeler is much better all round with the beach and all the bars and restaurants and near to Marmaris if you want the shopping! We also got totally ripped off on a boat trip from Antalya and all we could do was warn other people not to use that particular boat. I did tell the man who had the boat that i would give him bad publicity but made no odds. Not so many Brits in the old town, think more do the big AI's that are outside of town and city.
