Hi Scoop,
Our first visit to Icmeler was 5 years ago and we stayed at the GOLMAR.
Good hotel, clean and perfectly positioned for beach, dolmus, town & any type of shopping you need.
Pool area ok and would suit "young " teenagers.
Now the down-side. CATS .Then (I dont know about now) the place - especially the eating area outdoors on the patio was over-run with cats looking for food and what made it worse was families taking food from the breakfast buffet solely to feed the cats at their table.
My personal opinion not very hygienic although you can eat inside if you wish.
Having said that, we have been back to Icmeler every year since(but not at the Golmar) and have always called in for a drink and a snack.
Cheers & best of luck,

I would add that cats are not solely a problem at the Golmar but all over Icmeler, even when sitting in a restaurant there's cats around. Must admit that we haven't had a problem with them at the Golmar, we usually eat breakfast inside the restaurant then we go up to the terrace so my OH can have a cigarette. I have seen people feeding cats at the far side of the terrace (at the side adjoining Marbas) and to give the hotel their due they do have posters up in the restaurant saying not to feed the cats.
