Is the beach in Icmeler..

Postby Caltonian » 22 Aug 2006 22:00

Really as crowded with sunloungers/parasols as the pics on google earth make it look?

I guess football (or any activity) on the beach with the kids is a no no?

As you approach the beach from the centre it is full of sunloungers - there's some space if you walk down towards the left as you face the sea. I think there's also some space to the right but to be honest I usually go late in the afternoon to take in the scenery as I can't stand a packed beach. Where are you staying? There might be more space for games at the hotel.

Hi june, thanks for the info. Im staying at the (hitherto unknown) Ege Hotel, which ive been informed is close to the Juniper and Devamli hotels. Dont quote me on that though :?

Ive heard Icmeler has lots of green areas though which will more than make up for it I hope :D

Don't know of the Ege but Juniper and Devamli are central so you're close to everything. There is a good bit of open space but you'd probably be better off going to one of the parks if you want to get out of the hotel. On the main page there's a map of the hotels, I think the park is included there. I know there's at least one, up by the school. I'm sure you'll find loads of things to do - have a wonder around the home page as you might find info there as well as replies to your post. You can be assured that children are welcomed everywhere, they probably get more attention than us adults!
