there are some places open and you can just take the dolmus into marmaris if you want more choice

Thats kinda what im thinking Katie.
Also after looking at your pics ive decided a trip to izmir is needed (especially during the football season!) Looks like a stunning place.
I wanted to see the pyramids but Id rather catch up with mates in Icmeler.
Thing is, in Icmeler, when you go to a bar there they always remember you and its almost as if theyve been waiting a whole year just to see you specifically!
Now were both Scottish and our nation is famous for its hospitality but you dont get ho spitality like that back here do you?

but its a huge city (3rd biggest in turkey) and has a population of about 3.5 million
so be warned it will be busy
but yeah its a nice place to see
hopefully i will be going to stay with my boyfriends family again at the end of january in izmir if i can find a flight
proving very difficult

After this can we please get back on the topic subject.

Puulo I wouldn't bother with Icmeler in February and if you want the sund do Egypt.

You will though get some fantastic deals to Antalya for the Lara Beach 5 star resorts

Thanks for the heads up, a lot of mates with businesses in Icmeler say its like a ghost town out of season with pretty much only the tansas open.
My son said this morning though that he wants to go to icmeler in february and trying to explain to him is like hitting my head against the wall.
Im thinking though that flying to istanbul, a few days sight seeing, hire a car, drive to Icmeler/marmaris with a few stop offs on the way (Izmir, Ephesus etc)
