BAA Staff Strike Ballot

Postby weetoony » 12 Aug 2010 20:38

It had to be a b****y 'YES' vote.

That's every year for the past four years that some damned thing has come up to try us a month before departure :(

As much as I sympathise with the employees, my offer has been something like 0% this year, 1% next year and 0.5% the following year, surely they can realise that we are all in the same boat and the only people that they are hurting is their fellow, downtrodden workers.

Fully agree with you. We all save up to enjoy or holiday and along come walkouts. We haven't had a pay rise for three years. When will they realise that the only people they are affecting are workers like themselves or do they simply not care as long as they get what they want.

I agree. There are other ways of hitting companies without affecting the general public. We are one of the lucky ones we fly from Manchester tonight. But it seems every year you are on pins a week or so before your departure date, just waiting for something like this to happen. :(

we fly on the 1st of septem ber and are not too happy waiting for the strike dates, its been mentione d that the bank holiday weekend will be the strike time but i have a feeling that BAA and the government wills tep in to sort it out.
Its pretty unfair when you think about how many other people are not getting a pay rise at all this year, its selfish and stupid.

My daughter lost her flight when goldtrail went bust. I booked new flights for them straight away and she said thank god mum. Now this. One not too happy bunny. Just puts more pressure on. My heart goes out to her. Hopefully it will be resolved by September when she is due to go
