early evening entertainment

Postby ale233 » 28 Jul 2010 18:42

Hi, we are going on the 2oth August and have a 4 year old and a 2 year old. The 4 year old is really looking forward to evening entertainment and dancing. Does anyone know of bars or restaurants that have entertainment and music on early evening as I would like the children to enjoy the live music and shows before they fall asleep!! As long as there is somewhere she can dance she will be happy!

All the bars/restaurants tend to have the dancing and entertainment on at around 10 or 10.30pm when everyone has finished eating and ordering food. Perhaps you could try to let the children have a long sleep late afternoon so they will be awake for the entertainment. With the 2 hour time difference and the excitement and change of envirnment gets them from their regular routine anyway so they may well be awake when there is so much going on.

Having only been there once, second time 12thAugust I will probably be slated by a few people on this forum now. Entertainment in Icmeler is repetitive and poor, and will not start until later in the evening. The major difference is if you have got kids who want to dance then you will have people in the bars/restraunts who will be willing to satisfy your needs, no matter what time of day.

The nicest people I've ever had the honour of meeting, unlike Spain where you feel needed rather than wanted.

she really wants to dance so hopefully some bars will have some sort of music on. Do any of the hotels have children's entertainment on that we could maybe pay to go to early evening?

Yes the entrtainment might not be to everyones taste and is a bit repetitive sometimes but there a plenty of quiet bars around the resort too and it is much better then sitting in sports bars in Spain watching sky sports for a fortnight and remember all entertainment is free. :)

Indeed, and if you want loud music and in-your-face entertainment until the wee small hours, I'd suggest staying in Marmaris instead. Most people come to Icmeler because they like the atmosphere and ambience of the resort as it is.

There will always be some music going on somewhere, and I am sure she will enjoy her dancing. The waiters will really spoil her too.

Try Havana Bar I'm sure Zaza will have some tunes on and probably join in :-) He has lots of puzzles for the kids and wigs to try on. He likes showing off his tricks too.

Sorry ale233, my earlier comment wasn't aimed at you - just in response to another reply about the quality of entertainment in Icmeler. I am sure you and your family will love Icmeler, and your wee one will have the time of her life - as others have said, she will be spoiled rotten! Have a fab holiday!
