We always take a few snacks and drinks with us, having been stung the very first time we went, it's the only way to go, the duty free prices are not too bad though

That's the thing now though, Robert - unless you happen to be one of the lucky ones going through the security check, you'll get all your drinks taken off you. They were being very very strict about it when we went through at the beginning of June - despite protestations from several people who were trying to take bottles of water, juice, etc through with them.

i had 2 bottles of water in my hand luggage going through and they only took 1 off me :? lucky for me i guess...i would not be paying nearly 5 lira for a bottle of water when i could have bought the same in resort for 50 kurus!! also got away with taking a bottle of contact lense solution onto the plane, seems theyre not being quite as strict as they make out.

came home last night but knew waht to expect after so many visits, but for some reason took note of the prices can of coke 7tyl,water 5 lira, beer 11 lira, pizza 32 tyl.thats all i remember but very few people were buying at any of the outlets.
Drank our water before going through the last checkpoint but over all this airport is a rip off big style.
Noticed that some new food outlets had opened since last september but no body was using them

We were at Dalaman domestic terminal ( due to flying first to Istanbul) and the prices seemed to be as high as on the international side. Small cup of plain black coffee without any trimmings: 8 TL!

We also felt like we were stung at Dalaman, a meal deal of small kebab, small chips and coke 22 lira each or £10, could have had a 3 course steak meal in Icmeler for less

We got delayed by this joke of a company that is TC last year. No announcements, merged two flights and flew back on a wide bodied aircraft to take the extra passengers. What I will say for them is that the cabin staff are usually absolutely brilliant.
Turned out they've had staffing problems, and that's why they had to merge the flights. Pity they couldn't have told everyone this instead of being a mixture of treated like cattle, and subject to "mushroom management", but hey.

Could be a good forum competition - guess what "TC" should really stand for - but isn't there a swear filter, which would scupper that idea

It is the worst part of my holiday, I don't like the place, the most expensive and worst airport I have ever been to,
