PASSPORT - worried

Postby cassia » 23 Jun 2010 13:38

My passport got water damage months ago but i never thought anything of it, when i went into the post office i just casually asked if it would be ok to fly with they have said its a risk in the airport because the laminate page is came off slightly and they have gone really strict with it.

So i decided i will pay for a new one but i go in 3 weeks, and i cant send it until the beginning of next week so i decided to pay extra for the one week fast track but people have me worried incase it takes longer than a week? but surely if i am paying the extra to get it within a week i should have it then??

Can anyone assure me i would get it within a week or is there still chance it will be late when i pay the extra for the fast track on week service?

Thanks
Cass

as long as all the info is correct you will be fine. I recommend using the PO check and send service. They will be able to ensure that all your documentation is correct, your photos are acceptable and that all the necessary documentation is correct. Only hold-ups is normally when some of this info is wrong or missing and they have to write to you - this holds up the process and your application is NOT kept at the start of the queue.

Noticed you're from Liverpool. Any chance that you could make an appointment at the passport office, and go personally. You should get it there and then. Whatever you do, hope you sort it out and have a fab holiday.

I know someone who recently got a new passport on the same day. Theirs was water damaged & they went to liverpool and got it no probs.
I think they actually made n appt and got it that same day. they got it on a Thursday & flew on the Saturday.
