Hello at last!

I have finally managed to join at last!
We attended the HT meet in May 2006 which was also Johns birthday at the Famous Kitchen.
Me and my hubby are on that video but I am not saying where!
I first went to Icmeler in 1992 and have returned many times since then.
I am using my HT user name as like many new members I am fed up with the hassle on TA.
I wont be in Icmeler until October but I will be popping in here every time I am online.

Let's just say there's been what some have described as "bullying" over there, and I'm pretty sure it would come as no surprise whatsoever to you to learn who the main culprit has been, either!

People are just getting a bit fed up of making a post about something and then being shot down in flames for it (there, that is) Thankfully, they're being pointed in the direction of the much friendlier ICR family! .

Trip Advisor is sponsored and companies pay good money to advertise on there (I think) and they wont be too happy if people are leaving it.

I have used it for years and its very useful for the hotel reviews and I have made a lot of mine own bookings after reading them.

I hope it is all resolved soon anyway

I have only started using the TA forum though have been a member for years. I do find the site to be also very good and cant say that I noticed any bullying etc. Folk do tend to be very helpful just like this site

Hi Jay and welcome aboard - you wouldn't happen to be the mystery person who posted a pic on HT of the lads in the Venice a few years ago - and by chance my 3 daughters were also in the shot?!
I only use TA now and again for destinations other than Icmeler. Have had the odd nosey on their Icmeler pages and have to say one of their experts' responses made me cringe here and there, and I found the same on HT

Luckily for us, we've got Colette on here to keep us in line hahaha [only kidding Colette ]

Having a look at TA over the last few days the offending person seems to be keeping his head down. Probably keeps an eye on this forum and knows what is being said about him. Have to agree that this forum is much more relaxed with none of the nastiness of elsewhere. Just some good natured banter from the Jambos.
