any idea on bar prices in and around icmeler as last year in hisaronu prices were set at four lira beer . does icmeler have set prices too thanx

there was an order in place last season where all the bars had to sell Efes at the same price, however you find that there are bars that will flaunt the rules (to the customers advantage!!) and try to undercut each other.

There was a maximum price set as far as I can remember, but not sure how much that was...no doubt somone will be along to advise.

In may last year I think there was minimum price for the beer, some bars were selling at 3 lira but were told to increase their prices to 4 lira. I think that a typical beer was 4 lira for most of the season, it did come down right at the end of the season

Thanks steve,
I have the same feelings if its cheap beer go to ASDA, Turkey has far more to give you.......enjoy

In Icmeler there is so much variation to be had with music and dance bars to quite coffee cafes and discrete restaurants to satisfy all.

Eating establishments start from Kebab in hand to first class restaurants an excelent range of value you are sure to find what you require very quickly in Icmeler.

I thought it was a good enough question.

A large part of everyones holiday is spent in restaurants or bars for dinners, evening meals, etc and its good to be able to budget your money. The person who asked the questions isn't the only one interested in the price of a beer - there's hundreds of posts littered all over this site regarding beer - just do a search for efes.

Just done the search - 2095 posts

I for one am always interested in questions about beer

Re: bar prices

Prices of Efes have never interested me and I have never ever looked for the place for the cheapest food or beer.

But for the people who are,
Buffalo Bar,mine host Sugar,Last year Efes 2 lira a pint, food very cheap with Karaoke after 10pm.
Champion Bar,again prices similair to Sugars but no entertainment only nice conversation.
Tin Tin Bar one of the cheapest in Icmeler again conversation is the entertainment.
Okimo Bar, Tuborg beer at 4lira a pint but food good and cheaper than most, older type music played here.

As I say I have never scoured Icmeler to find these places its just what the wife tells me.

Having got a baragain price this year on are holiday i dont want to spend what we have saved on expensive beer, On the first day of any resort in Turkey i look for the cheapest watering holes, all the hotel call me tight but on the 3rd day they are asking me were i go as they are paying double what i pay and as you know the night doesnt kick off till after 10pm so do the cheap bars first, must admit the cheap bars do tend to be low key but we make our own entertainment far cheaper than paying for it, reading this thread im very impressed that you can get a bottle of efes for a pound it has been dearer than that in the supermarkets the last 2 years, 15 weeks to go roll on 8)

Is there any brown beer or is it all lager type?

Don't be hard on the people looking for cheap food & drink. Times are hard for some & they need to make their holiday money go as far as possible.

As a Scot I'll never pass up a bargain.

It's mostly lager-type beers, Hector, although you will find some brown beer too. Apart from the normal Efes, you get an Efes dark, which my OH says is very nice.

Efes dark is a brown beer and is very potent, I believe the ABV is around 6.5%. It is very very nice to drink makes a change from lager beers

Being from Newcastle, a couple of lads in the family often drink this, as they believe it tastes like Newcastle Brown Ale!

Guy and Gals, I thought the same, that these 2 repribates were having a go at each other, then locked the thread. However after a PM from Turkey Culture, it appears they are good mates and having a bit of fun
