ICR Jeep Safari

Could anyone tell me what the jeeps are like that are used by ICR? The reason I am asking is that a few years ago we booked a jeep safari trip from a stand in the old town accross from the school (can't remember it's name) and the jeep was a heep! It broke down and the ignition key was a screwdriver. There was also no seatbelts on this jeep which we didn't think of at the time, but I had cause to regret that later. Before the jeep came off the road and was going through a small river the driver told us to put our water guns down and hold on. We did this, but when the jeep hit the water it slowed right down and we all went flying up into the air and thudded back down on the seat. This in itself wasn't a problem, but hubby had put his large plastic water gun on the seat between us and it slid to my seat as I slammed back down on top of it and as a result I broke my coxis (bum bone). I still have problems with it as it has seemingly healed squint and needs to be broken and straightened again - no chance! Anyway I did enjoy this day and would like to do it again - the trip not breaking my bone, but would only go if there was seat belts on the jeep.

Yeah I know the stand where you booked it. No wonder there never seems to be anyone booking trips there. I am sure the ICR ones are alot better.

I've never done one of the jeep safaris yet, but if I do, I'd be booking with ICR for sure. I've seen the jeeps they use and for my own safety and peace of mind, I'd go with them any day. I've also seen some of the others - and quite frankly, some were absolute rustbuckets! Hey, they might be a bit cheaper (I don't know, never checked) but you can't put a price on safety, can you?

thanks all, Donna you have put my mind at rest as blondie says you can't put a price on safety as I know to my cost. I liked that the jeeps have the bars as an added safety. I know that the water gun slipping under my bottom was not a fault of the jeep we were in, but the state of the jeep and the maniac driving it did contribute. Donna will be in when we arrive at the end of June to book (I'll bring my own rubber ring lol) and to book other trips.
