Ive seen some pics on here with the boats having sunbeds on, is that the norm in Turkey?
Also where would be the best place to see what trips are on offer and where to book them.
Anything that would be suitable for a 14 year old teen would be brill!
thanks

Bookable through this site or directly through me if I am in Icmeler.
Lots of scenery a few stops in nice bays for a swim and a nice lunch and drinks included in the price and yes they will have sun loungers on the top deck.

Ok first things first. Do not book through your holiday Rep at the welcome meeting.
Did you get that. Do not book through your holiday Rep at the welcome meeting.
Ok. Now go to either one of the shops round the resort or one of the stands on the beach front. Or as you are on the
Icmeler Online /
ICR forum go to the ICR office (its next to Chill Bar which is opposite Harrys Steak Bar). These are the same as those sold by the reps but they sell them for twice as much.
All the boat trips have sunbeds (get there early) and would be suitable for a 14 year old.
One big tip would be to plan all your trips then book them all at once as this will get you them cheaper.
I would recommend the Mud Baths by boat as a good varied day out and my 14 year old son and his 14 year old cousin loved last year.
By the way, did I mention about not booking through the Rep?

Great thanks to you both.
I know all about how reps rip you off big time, we learnt that a long time ago. The boats with the sun loungers on top look fab as I wouldnt want to be on a boat and all cramped together.
What else can I book at the Icemeler office?

If you look up near the top of the page you will find a link to excursions.

Calm down Sharon,
You will see in my post that I did say to use ICR!
But when H4U rep is quoting £35 for the diving day you have to laugh.
12 Jun 2006 08:22

Your forgiven. I do know what you mean though.
ICR great company to rep for though.Looking forward to having a laugh and meeting you all. I promise I wont grab you at the airport

Well at least not until both feet are on the ground
See you all soon.

I for one wouldnt recommend the mud baths by boat, but thats just a personal opinion, it was too hot, too cramped, not enough sunbeds to go round, to long on the boat for 2 hours worth of trip, one hour at the mud baths and 1 hour at turtle beach. we set off at 10 am didnt get back til 7.
Loved the mud baths and turtle beach, but if we did it again would rather go by coach, air conditioned and not overcrowded.

Shaz, it must be nice for you as the other reps must get so much stick from people who have been conned at the 'Welcome Meeting'. Once they go into town and see the real prices they must be very angry!
Was very amusing in May though. As me and the owner of the apartments (Woodland) would sit at the bar during these meetings giggling like school boys while the trips were being sold.
Will be calling into John's office (OFK) in August to see what we can negotiate as there will be 9 of us.

Sharon can we book the mud trips with you via coach? I am not really a boat person, could probably stand being on one for about 30 mins but no more.
13 Jun 2006 07:00
Yes we do the trip by bus and will pick other people up on the way.
The boat is good but coming back the wind picks up around 3pm and makes for a bumpy ride

Fantastic!!
We will be arriving on 23rd June and will come along to book our trips.
Many thanks

can anyone recommend a boat trip that would also keep the kids interested, they are 7 and 13 years old. when we went to icemeler 2 years ago we never went on any boat trips , going back next month and would like to try one that interests all of us, if the kids are happy then the battle is won. thanks
