Hi Clare, We walked past there this year a few times and it looked good - never been in though. Nice enough area, 10 mins max walk into centre or 3 minutes to old town. Ozzys and wembley bar close by.

Cheers John

the daystar is great,we have stayed there a few times and all in all is brill, you wont be disapointed in anyway, only downfall is if the weather is really hot you wont want to walk to the beach ect but taxi service is good too

The Daystar Apartments are oppiste the Baba Tuncay Apartments.
If you want pool games, quiz nights, bingo, Michael J ,and people trying to squeeze every penny from your holiday fund , THEN this is for you ( Daystar ).
If you want to have a easy time with the locals? then I would try Baba Tuncay or the Rhodes,. (ICR provide both .).

rhodes is good, with tuncay i have had many problems ,everytime we were to go out for tea,we would get hasstle, then the next day feel as if we have done something bad,the workers feel a bit full on and in your face and the entertainment was 50/50 depending how many turned out for the turkish night ect ect, feel much better with daystar myself and as this topic is going on,there person who asked the question has already booked to go next year,so i think putting a downer on the holiday long before there due to get there is a bit wrong i think

I have found most apartments owners and their staff are full on,wanting you to dine in their restaurants in the evening, this is just something we have to put up with and just say no "we are dining out tonight"and not feel guilty,as long as the apartments are clean, and bedding and towels changed, nice clean pool, then I am happy. :)

I agree with you as long as the bedding is clean and the apartment and pool are clean I am happy, this is my 5th year to turkey so I know how to be polite and say no if we do not want to eat in their restaurant. Thanks for all the comments guys.

Happy jollies, counting down to August 1st already xx

Hi Clare
Me and my other half stayed at the Daystar in 2007 and enjoyed our stay. The apartments are a reasonable size, The staff were fine with us , but most staff change. The apartments are about 10/15 mins from the atms, 20 from the beach, there are places to eat very close to the daystar. I`ve added a link to a previous post.
We would stay there again, but we have been spoilt by staying at other places nearer the centre.

Hi turkman.
You dont get hasstle from the Baba Tuncay, they dont serve food and only have a limited selection of drinks, so you do not get pressure to EAT HERE, ( they even offer to drive you to your restaraunt of choice most nights ) as for putting a downer on someones holiday  , I tell it as it is, If the thruth hurts then SORRY.
Iam sure the OP will read many good and bad reports with regards to the daystar,
I could have said the daystar was the best thing since sliced bread (but that would be a lie ).each to there own.
I dont make a habbit of trying to spoil someone holiday before they even go, I give MY VIEW on the subject. I think.

How do we know they have already booked up?

I thought it was a good unbiased review. :D

I think turkman may be getting mixed up with The different Tuncays, so lets assume that and play nicely :D
