weather in October

Hi, was wondering if anyone new what the weather is like in October, probably mid october. is it still sunbathing weather and what's it like in the evening, are most places still open then

Hi Elayne - we've been in mid-October the past two years - and coming back again in two weeks' time - and both times we've had really good weather. Last year, we were sunbathing on the beach every day. It does get a wee bit cooler at night - some folk might want a cardi or wrap - but we didn't find it all that cool. Maybe it's the hardy Scots thing!

Some places do start to close from mid-October to the end of the month, but there are still loads of places open - and you can get some great bargains too. I personally think it's a lovely time of year to visit Icmeler.

some of the places in icmeler will start to close down as you get through october but most of them will be open to the end
the weather is still really nice but you can catch the odd shower of rain sometimes
however last year was lovely we had glorious weather everyday we were there and it was even still really warm at night
you might need a cardigan at night cause it can get a little biy chilly especially if there is a wind there but on the whole october is a lovely time to go

We have been to Icmeler for the last 3 years the 2nd and 3rd week of October. It is still warm, but a has already been mentioned, you may need a cardi at night, as it does tend to get a little chilly. We have had the most spectacular thunderstorms out there...don't worry, as they have only ever lasted an hour or so, and they have always been at night. Even if you do have a shower during the day, it is not going to spoil your holiday. It rains, you get damp...you go into a bar, dry off, and back outside again. Brilliant!

We went on the 29th oct - 5 november last year and the weather was superb [30 degrees +] However it did start going dark at about 4.45 but this was because the clocks went forward around this time. Hope its the same again this year as we are going 16th oct - 2nd nov. As somebody says the bars start closing from the middle of october but there are still plenty open till the end.

Some bars started closing early september ,you will see the tractor and trailer they use to remove tables and chairs often pass loaded up.I assume there must be a storage facility somewhere or do bars and restaurants hire the equipment for the season ?.
