favourite restaurants for breakfast

07 Jul 2009 15:37

we are going self catering and will almost certainly eat out every morning, what has been your memorable place for breakfast ,that you could recommend ?

07 Jul 2009 15:48

The most memorable turkish breakfast we have had is at the Cinar Restaurant on the other side of Marmaris, but dont think that is the kind of breakfast you have in mind. Most of the restaurants around the town do a good English breakfast, it is a matter of choice of place depending on where you are staying.

Depends on what breakfast you want i suppose..whether it be Turkish or English.
We had alot of our breakfasts at Florida bar

But like i say depends what you want
xx

Also had breakfast at The Florida, excellent value at 3 lira, and yummy!

Florida is good, and I'd also recommend Harry's Steakhouse, which became our regular breakfast haunt last month. Great value, too!

we are staying at the celik apartments and it probably will be full english breakfasts ,kids will have fruit most mornings as the "healthy school life" has obviously kicked in lol

im sure you wont be disappointed in where ever you choose

For a full English I like going to Florida or Jasmine. Venice have a good breakfast menu if you don't want a full english lol

to be honest they are all the same where ever you go.

we went to set, bonjour, lighthouse, harrys steakhouse cupids, all roughly same price. normally a cup of tea or coffee is dearer than the fry up.

Vinces for me

07 Jul 2009 23:19

Best one for me last year was at the Sevgi in the old village

08 Jul 2009 05:36

If anyone staying up at the old village as we do i would recommend tommys bar not just for breakfast but any meal

08 Jul 2009 08:34

Anywhere that dosent serve the rancid little hot dog sausages.

Probably the best breakfast we have ever had in Icmeler has been at Charlies Place, over near Tansas.

He serves proper bacon and proper sausages (or at least he used to) cooked to perfection.

When we stayed at the Alinda 2 a few years ago, we pretty much ended up living in there in a morning, as they were the best brekkies. mmmmm

09 Jul 2009 11:49

agree with Sirky boy about those sausages.

Captain BS use those and they're dearer than others, so not v nice for brekkies.

Vinces and Richards Place we go to mainly cos its next door or underneath so not far to walk.

the drinks are usually as dear as the Brekkie. Watch out also for crafty ones, where they have £1 in huge writing and .99 in tiny miniscule writing, have been caught out a few times by that.

My fave place for breakfast in the whole world is at the end of the beach (towards Marmaris direction) and there is a little Caffe/restuarant up the hill. They serve the most delicious Turkish breakfast, the last thing I want is a full english when Im in Turkey, and they give you huge portions, each little bit served up on a seperate plate (honey & butter made locally in the old village apparently). They also serve full english/eggs on toast etc etc.

The best bit about it is the view ................ stunning looking out at the bay & hte mountains and it is so peaceful. Heaven!!!! Will certainly be doing this on our first morning! x
