21 Jun 2009 20:25

yeah i agree
there is no need for a mcdonalds in icmeler if there is one or more in marmaris
people come on holiday to get away from those sorts of place and parents should be encouraging their children to eat turkish food

22 Jun 2009 06:27

Wow!!! Sorry for asking such a horrible question !!!!! It's was only a mere question!! My son also only has mcds as a treat not every night!!!

22 Jun 2009 07:27

Well said, Donna - any negativity wasn't directed at the original poster, but the idea of McDs spoiling the lovely ambience of Icmeler we have all come to love.
As others have said, any restaurant will be more than happy to rustle up a burger on request.
PS: I'm not a rottweiler, more of a Labrador, myself!

22 Jun 2009 07:29

agree with all the posts The restaurants will always rustle up a McDonalds type burger

22 Jun 2009 07:48

Hi russmac it looks as though you will have to visit marmaris for your mcdonalds,my youngsters are also partial to the odd mc now and again on holiday.Welcome to the forum 8)

22 Jun 2009 12:05

Cheers kitty, it makes me sound like a bad parent for letting my little one eat mc ds as a treat!!! oh well each to there own but i only asked the questions cos when we were there last sept there were strong rumours a fastfood change was going to be popping up in the next couple of years!! which doesn't suprise me!!!! well like you said it will be a trip to marmaris for my little ones favourite cuisine of mc ds chicken nuggets!!! AS A TREAT!!

22 Jun 2009 12:18

Come on guys give Russmac a break he is a new member and your putting him off ICR !!!

People eat different things on holiday, I went the Bahama's once and found a McDonalds there and yes I did go in it.

I don't eat fast food anymore ( watch my halo up there ) but I think a fast food would be ok in Icmeler after all there are chippys and no one slags them off, INFACT they are VERY popular!!

So stop scaring away my new members please :D

Thanks

Col :D

I've even eaten a "Big Mac" in Paris (one can only take so much fine cuisine on a holiday!) and very nice it was too. It's an interesting experience to taste the differences - Spanish and British are worst to my mind - and is on a par with eating a "British Breakfast" on holiday. I personally think that Icmeler is too small for McDonalds but wouldn't necessarily object unless it was totally out of character.

But the place would look lovely with McD wrappers and boxes blowing everywhere, and the lovely ambience of frying Krabbypatties, wafting in the warm mountain breeze

I'm off for my lunch - pot noodle :P
