24 nights in paradise

Hello everyone. We have just changed our flights and consequently have added 3 more nights in Icmeler. My query is how to save a little on the spend as we are there so long! Last year we ate out every day and every meal almost, so I know we can reduce the cost of that by eating in the apartment. We spent aboout £2300.00 for 2 weeks last year (having anything and everything we wanted) and we are trying to gauge how much we will need for the extra 10 days without being skinflints 
Also we are looking at accommodation with water slides and not too far from the beach and praying that this will keep the children (4 & 7) occupied, or will they be bored as we are there so long? They are both water babies. Any tips and advice greatly appreciated

Drink at Sugars Buffalo Bar. 
75 pence a pint.
14 pints a day for me =£10.50 a day
8 pints a day for Ann = £6.00
Total for the day would be £16.50 x by 24 jozzyd =£396.00 for the beer
grab a few take aways and I can do it for less than a Grand for over 3 weeks.

Gene you will never lose weight ha ha. What about my kids lol. That averages 14 pints each a day (i drink a lot not like Anne) so £21.00 a day beer money £504. How do i do food and drinks not beer lol for the kids

Go to Pizza Tomato down the side of Azra jewelers, 2 pizza, 8 chicken fillets, fries & potato wedges. £15 plenty for four

am sure the kids won't get bored, if they are anything like ours then a long hol just makes it harder to come home
the good thing about being there so long is that you always put off doing things - cos you've lots of time
we did less when we went for 3 weeks than we usually do in 2 weeks he he he
cheap food? try the pide places for kebabs or pizza, they are sooo cheap
also, fresh bread daily to make sandwiches at lunch and also pop or ice creams from Tansas to stash in your fridge rather than paying bar prices
also, like Gene says there are cheaper bars than those found on eg the canal and around Sugars is buzzing at night
decide how much you want to spend overall, divide it by the number of days your there and put the daily amounts in separate envelopes
anything you save from one day, put it in a kitty to have a splurge if you fancy a more expensive time
also, pay your bar bill daily at your accom so it doesn't build up
am sure you'll have a ball

I usually do breakfast on the balcony, I take tea bags, coffee and sweetex, then just buy milk there. I usually buy the crusty Turkish bread and alternate between eggs, toast and jam, turkish breakfasts, salami's etc. You could probably feed the 4 of you for under £1 per day, probably a lot less than that. Sandwiches and crisps, salads etc for lunch, then just buy the evening meal out.

we are goinng for 3 weeks i want 4500 ,
i hope not to spend it all but dont want to be caught short .

Hey Gene, Sugars sounds like the place to go to save a bit of money on the booze side, we have been to Icmeler lots of times but cannot place this one. Where is it? So we know for June.
Also agree with other comments about eating in at lunch time, kids soon get sick of drinking water but we all know how important it is to stay hydrated so go to any of the little markets and pick up a few packets of TANG, they are fruit flavoured crystals that you just add to bottled water, there a few diffrent flavours so the kids wont get sick of it, and if you have a fridge with freezer compartment then you can freeze a couple of bottles to take down to the beach or on any trips, we do this every year and save a fortune. Just remember the drinks are for the kids you still have to buy yours from the beach front cafe's and resturants so you can use the sunbeds.

The Buffalo bar is on the street opposite the Blue Rainbow hotel also just up from the Dream 3 Bells and Next Door to the Hob Goblin,this bar does all you can drink for a tenner.
In this area is also the Champion bar and Tin Tins all do great meals and drink is inexpensive.
Our Andre is nearly 14 now and he said to me to save on the expense of buying him cokes at between 3-5Tl a large glass he will gladly go on Efes with his Grandad.

Aet Deuchars our budget will be less than that On your daily rate we would need £5142 that's roughly our yearly food bill lol. We bought gifts, towels etc last year and did not 'budget' at all so I am certain that by using a little common sense we can watch the pennies without being penny pinchers. Our aim is still to have as much fun and as many treats as possible with about £100 per day food and £25 for extras. Am sure we can do it for that price and still enjoy ourselves Hubby disagrees and says we need at least £3000 and it's his money, who am i to argue ha ha

Ha ha Robbo i only work part time for an elderly couple (independently) so i just arrange my own cover and my hubby books his hols in January to make sure he can get the time off as we need school holidays. We originally booked for 3 weeks but then a real bargain came up on flights so we cancelled original ones and ended up with 3 extra nights

We're HOPING to stay for 3 weeks the end of September and won't be eatting out all the time.
We usually eat brekkie in our apartment or have our freebie brekkie/lunch from Cubannas for eating there the night before.
Otherwise it's toast with philly (take a few tubs with us) and fresh tomatoes (yumm) for brekkie. If we're hungry in the day buy a snack out. Then of an evening we eat out, or what we were doing last year was buying one of the fresh loaves, putting some ham and cheese salad on and having that as our evening meal with crisps to save money near the end of the holiday. Or as someones already mentioned Pizza Tomatoe, we bought a whole (2 halves) cooked chicken for 9 lira and went to Best supermarket with the little green grocers on the side and bought a whole load of fresh salad for a couple of lira and had that a few times.
What we're thinking for our June holiday to save money (bloody credit crunch
) is eat brekkie in our apartment, have something around the pool, drink or crisps during the day, or share a pizza and chips, then cook something in our apartment for dinner. We met a lovely couple from SE London and they made a few curries in their apartment and invited us round to their apartment one night for a curry and drink and we had a great night. So might take a small frying pan and jar of curry paste and a few pkts of savoury rice with us to make a few curries while we're there to save on eating out costs.
We always buy some booze at the airport, last year was a bargain, 5, 1 litre bottles of booze for £35, so we'll probs do the same again this year and it should last the 4 of us the 2 weeks (we hope).
EDITED to add, if you plan on eating in and have salads make sure you take some salad cream with you as they don't sell it out there, we took a big bottle with us last year as hubby hates mayo and in the end we used it as a bartering tool with our cockney friends, we gave them some salad cream in return for a cup of washing powder We'll be taking 2 big bottles this year
