Just wondering what everyone is doing for Christmas?

21 Nov 2008 07:58

We have been away for the last three years at Christmas staying with my husbands relatives up in Chester but this year I have only got two days off of work so we are staying home in Plymouth.

The best thing though is my son who is in the Navy is coming home for Christmas :D and another of our sons is coming down from Swindon for a week.
So Christmas day is going to be a real family get together with our two grandchildren, four sons, my daughter-in-law and my mum :D

The only downside is I've got to cook Christmas dinner for everyone :)

Whats everyone else doing on Christmas Day?

Wishing I was in Icmeler! I hate Christmas - usually cook Christmas dinner for our familyand the in-laws, but I honestly can't stand the whole commercialised circus. Can't remember ever enjoying it, to be honest, even when I was a child.

This is the first job that I have had that is 365 days a year. Been here nearly 4 years now and never worked Xmas Day or New Year, so I am extremely lucky. Xmas doesnt really bother me too much as all the kids have grown up and flown the nest, but being Scottish I do love my New Year, as long as they let me have 1st of Jan off as annual leave, I will be a happy bunny.
