I wonder if anyone else has thought the same as me re the new jetty. Its a lovely walk along there, nice cooling breeze - but nowhere to sit. I walk along there often, right along to the end and then just have to stand there like I'm lost. Some folk sit on the edge with their legs dangling over the side but I'm afraid I'm not brave enough for that.
If anyone from the local council or mayors office reads this perhaps a few benches could be installed so we can enjoy the lovely view for longer.

That's a good idea. I would also like to see a nice chill out bar down there but I don't think they are big enough. Sitting watching the the sun go down
and the lights go on. Ah magic

Thats a great idea Marg. I thought the terraces above the shops would make a great restaurant, the views would be breathtaking, plus you'd also get that breeze - magic!!
Just hope someone in power is listening.

We agree with that we where there the other week and walked over there
I am sure that it would attract more people to those shops not as they are now empty spaces. Cheers.

I agree with everything that has been said.
Day or night, it was a lovely walk but i was also afraid to sit with my legs dangling.
I think that it would be lovely to have coloured lights strung along and benches to sit on, it would be like Blackpool but a million times classier !

Our Turkish friend is a businessman in Icmeler, and we asked him why he had not taken up one of those fantastic little units, and his reply was "they are very very expensive to rent".
I think the Mayor or Council should seriously look at this problem, as they could end up being empty just like that
Hotel round the corner!

Seems pretty silly to have them sitting empty if that's the reason why (the high rents etc) - surely it would make far more sense to make them a lot cheaper, then people would rent them and it would attract more visitors.

We heard that there had apparently been problems getting them licensed.

I agree it would be a wonderful place to sit and have a meal in the evening.
