Spices

Hi All, I know they sell spices at the market and just wanted to ask if anyone had bought any? If so are they:

Better or same quality as the ones in the UK?
Cheaper?
Allowed to be brought back into the UK?

I know it's not the usual thing to buy on holiday but it beats buying 10 new handbags! (for me anyway!)

Definitely better and cheaper, and as they aren't classed as meat or dairy products I would imagine you'd be ok bringing it in.
We bring saffron back all the time.

I bought some spices back with me this time. Not everything is pure though, the man on the market let me taste the spices I wanted to buy first though.

I love spicy food but I'm the only one in the family that does, thats what I missed in Turkey, hot toilet next morning food. I did have a pasta over there bcan't think what it was called now but the tomatoe sauce in it was hot and bloody lovely.
