Strikes at Gatwick and Stanstead

Heard on the news today, that there is to be a check in and baggage handlers' strike on Bank Holiday Monday and another 24 hour stoppage threatened for 29th.

Great!!! - I believe its Swissport staff, and although we are flying with Onur, not sure whether this will affect us or not if they go ahead. Any thoughts?

hope everything goes ok for you i have just got back from salou my daughter was taking her mother -inlaw to be to c her daughter shes rep out their so i went with them fri-mon its a hole it stinks and dirty only good thing the old town and the beach and hot sun not turkey lucky you go the clubs and have a dance for me

my daughter is trying to get late seats for sep for turkey but if that fails wil have to go anywere as seats are cheap but roll on next year take lots of photos

i understand manchester have voted to go on a 2 day strike the dates i think are 27 august and the 1st september this was on sky news yesterday

Was on bbc website today that the strikes have been called off.

Yes I was getting worried too, even though we're flying from Edinburgh on Tuesday I thought there might be some kind of knock on effect. However it all seems to be sorted for now. Hope to meet some of you lovely people over there.
