blessings in icmeler

09 Jun 2008 19:36

hi everyone hope some one can help us as some of you know we were planning to get married in icmeler in 2009 but due to family not being able to come out we have compromised and are getting married in england and then flying out with friends to icmeler on 6/08/2009 we are going to have a blessing in icmeler and would appreciate some help in arranging everything as we dont really want to use a wedding planner. so does anyone know of a christian minister who could perform the blessing also contacts for flowers, wedding cake etc would be appreciated and of course anyone who is out in icmeler at that time would be more than welcome to join us for a few effes in wonderboys in the evening to help us celebrate. we are going out to icmeler on 31/07 and would like to meet up with anyone that could help us during the fortnight we are out there. hope some one can help and look forward to meeting some of you anyway in august :D :D :D :D

I am not religious so do not understand how things work but...... if you have been married in the UK why do you want a "blessing" (what is that) in Turkey.

Why not just come out and have a party?

I was thinking off this as well but after adding it all up and we also going in oct so weather cant be garented
so spending what i would have done on the blessing on a party and loads of trips

My wife and I married out there in Sept 03. I dont know about a blessing but the registry office will help you, they are based near the marina in Marmaris. We had our paperwork translated in Izmir then the registry office sorted the rest and married us in the gardens of the hotel EFES.

Absolutely fantastic day...

anything else we can help with just ask.... 8)

over Red carpet etc.... just for the wife haha..

But gardens were lovely, large palm trees etc.... or they were in 2006.. missed last year unfortunately but they have been there and well kept for the past 7 years we have been
