Did you book via ICR? If so air con is £3.00 a day.

Not sure how much if you didn't although I would think the same price ?

Not sure about the safety box though, someone else will help you there :D

Air conditioning and safety deposit boxes vary in the accomodations, there is a tariff board up at each apartment and hotel with weekly and fortnightly rates for both. Some of the daily rates are £3.00 some £3.50 and some £4.00 for air conditioning, safety deposit boxes are also done on a weekly rate starting from £3 a day upwards,

OK Thanks guys, was just wondering because can't remember what I paid last year.

That's a really good price, some non-ICR apartments are charging £35 per week for aircon.

Are the safety deposit boxes in the room or at reception in the Kurt apartments?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have never been to Turkey in October, but just booked for the 6th to 20th October this year. Yes, I am also addicted to Icmeler. After coming home earlier this month, it took me less than a week to book another holiday to Icmeler. We are staying in the Kurt apartments so all information gratefully received on October and the Kurt.

Arsinal,

October weather is usually hot in the day time, but you may need a light jacket or cardigan in the evening.

You will probably experience a few thunderstorms, but these can be magical to watch, and soon clearing.

We are returning again Oct 3rd for 2 weeks, cant wait. Just got back on Saturday, but missing Icmeler so much already.

the safes are in the reception at the Kurt Apts. You have a key and the owner has a key. both keys are needed to open the safe. this will be our 3rd time staying at the Kurt and have never had any problems, there is always someone manning the reception day or night. will be back to Icmeler a week on saturday, can't wait!

Hi janetbytheloch yes we would recommend these apartments. This will be the 3rd time we have stayed at the Kurt and love the peace and quiet. They are run by the Kurt family and are very nice. Mr Kurt has a boat and guests can go on trips with him (haven't done any with him yet, maybe this year). The food in the apartments have always been just as good as the restaurants in previous years, and apart from 3 years ago (when the Kurt and Icmeler was very busy) there has been no entertainment at night. Maybe it will be different this year as the apartments are full when we go. It maybe takes about 15-20 mins to walk to the centre of town, but there is many watering holes on the way. We either walk passed the shops and restaurants towards the Tansas and then along the street there or take the back road which has very few restaurants and no hassle, depends on our mood. There is numerous restaurants and bars surrounding the Kurt if you don't fancy walking into town, but if you fancy a particular restaurant, then they may come and pick you up, you will definately get a lift home at the end of the night if you wish. The people in Icmeler are lovely and cannot do enough for us visitors. I think the Dolmus may pass close to the Kurt as well, but i'm not sure as we have never used it. Maybe someone else will be able to answer that. We arrive early morning of sunday 29th and can't wait to see the ICR minibus waiting to take us to paradise. There is 6 of us comming, myself and hubby, our 2 sons and our daughter and her fiance. Our youngest son is 16yrs old and he wouldn't want to go anywhere else for either his holiday or the apartments. Sorry to ramble on, if you would like to know anything else, just ask and we will definately see you there. Jean 8)

Hi Jean, thanks so much for the info This will be our sixt time in Icmeler but have always stayed centrally usually the Alvaro apartments. Delighted to hear such good reports from you cant wait now as soon as I hear a Scottish voice and see a party of six I will know it's you and get the Effes in. We both like to walk with effes stops along the way so the distance shouldn't be a problem (maybe not so on the way back!!!!)

Hey everyone.. Not long til we go to Turkey - really cant wait.

Was wondering if anyone knows if you get a hair dryer in the Kurt Apartments???

Lynsey xoxo

20 Jun 2008 19:37

Hi Lynseyloo, no there isn't any hairdryers at the Kurt. If your there after the 28th June, me and my daughter are both taking a hairdryer so your welcome to chap our door and borrow one. There is six of us going and we are all taking large suitcases (4 guys and 2 girls) so not bothered about taking 2 hairdryers as the guys suitcases need to be filled up!

Does anyone know if the Kurt apartments will rent a safe to non-residents please ? Did I read £3 per day/£21 per week to rent?

25 Jun 2008 14:45

My niece stayed there, and i am sure sahe said the air con is £60 per week i think, might be wrong

the boat trips of his are fantastic, only cost us 25 lira (£12 @2.40 to the £)
we had a boat of 8 adults,he and his driver were also on board
the food was cooked on a barbecue at the back of the boat, and was great, chicken, meatballs chicken shish, fresh salad, and melon, finished off with raki
he also has a chest full of ice with glass bottles of beer and fizzy drinks, and they were not expensive

highly recommended

£60 seems a bit steep maybe that was for 2 weeks.
