We are ging to Icmeler in a couple of weeks and have booked to stay in the Elif hotel but I have read some awful reviews, so was planning of changing accomodation today, I am thinking of the moonlight apartments, private or club daystar. Can anyone help?

Is it true that the only way out of the hotel is to go through the bar and they get really nasty with you if you dont stay there to eat and drink?

26 May 2008 09:28

Gemma that is all changed now.

New management have this year got all that sorted and from what I have heard all the staff have changed in the bar.

I allways say when reading reviews, as long as their is a mixture of reviews some good some bad, I tend to think they must be OK. It's never failed me yet.

In this case there appears to be more bad than good, especially on the more recent reviews, since the hotel changed hands, ah I dont know what to do!

26 May 2008 13:52

Gem
Most people dont put good reviews its called apathy.
But if your not happy with something you soon put a bad one on.
So i dont take much notice of reviews they are dis proportionate.
we had one of our best holidays in Zante after it was in the Sun the week before as holiday from hell so dont worry hotels are somewhere to lay your head i think the resorts more important.

I agree that the esort is more important and we dont plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel, maybe I am just worrying over nothing

hi gemma we have stayed at the elif for the last 5 years it changed hands last year and i have never seen a hotel go from a good hotel to a bad one so quick it was so bad i have booked to go elsewhere it was not just the bar but the hotel was bad aswell breakfast was crap no toilet roll in room did not change linen as much as used to but i always say everyone must make there own mind up maybe they have there act together this year but i wont be going

26 May 2008 15:38
