Hi Folks
Can anyone help us on how we go about getting extra luggage allowance through Onur airlines. My sister has a medical condition which means that she has to take loads of her medical supplies that she will need for the 3 weeks that we will be there. She has to take it over with her as she cant get it over there!! We know that we are allowed 20kgs but as we are going for the 3 weeks she will need that for her clothes. Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Try ringing your airport and see what they charge per kilo for excess luggage, last year we were going away from east mids and they were charging between £6 - £8 per kilo over. Worth enquiring that way you're prepaired when you're there. Might not charge you for excess if you are over but best to be prepaired ?
If not, as has been mentioned on here why not do what we're going to be doing this year wash your clothes and wear them again ?? We're lucky as we have a machine in our apartment but people have said on here that the laundrettes out in
Icmeler get them done and back to you the same day for really good prices - might be a way of reducing the weight in the bags ??

if its tablets taken the minimum amount you need, get rid of extra packaging etc, it helps reduce the bulk as well.
If its liquid medication perhaps if its in glass bottles, could it go in a plastic one, they're lighter.
I'm diabetic and have 3 lots of tablets, so I put them in my hand bag. Needles and things they have to let through as well, but I always tell them at check in.
Hubby carrys a pharmacy with him though and thats just in case of sicknes, temperature bites, Calpol, painkillers. My tablets dont weigh as much as the "just in case" stuff he packs.!

Thanks for all your replies folks. Never thought of Mary B's one so we are going to try this. Definately cutting down on the amount of clothes we take this year

Hi folks thought i would give you an update on our little problem

I phoned aegean flights and spoke to a lovely girl who told me that all I had to do was email them direct giving them some info on my sisters medical condition and what she needs to take etc etc. They would then get in touch with Onur directly and sort it all out for us at no extra cost

The girls customer service was superb nearly as good as our own angels at
