What a rip off.
The prices they charge are so hgh 4.5 lire for the smallest bottle of water 12 lire for a box of Turkish Delight same box 3.5 lire in Icmeler. Food was also very expensive. Take your own especially if you have kids otherwise it will cost you an arm and a leg. Although I love going to Turkey I think if they carry on the way they are going they will price themselves out of the market. The government have increased taxes so much that even the locals are saying this could have an adverse effect on tourism

PS. we go to
Icmeler Oct 3rd,so will put my plan into action

Hi mailo,
The new airport is being built near the old one and you can see it when arriving at
Dalaman old airport.
It is due to open next year, happy holidays.

Just got back last night from Icmeler, airport was a nightmare
Utter chaos outside and in, and the prices they are charging well i'm not allowed to swear on here
One poor lady bought 3 cans of soft drinks for her children and 2 small pots of pringles.... ready for this £25
So before you leave your resorts make sure you take your own refreshments.

Totally agree with everyone's comments. Can't believe what a rip off this place is, not to mention the chaos going on all over. It took us over an hour in the que for check in, that is after 3 security staff had spent 10 minutes questioning what my pushchair was on the security scanner (it is a pushchair that folds up small into a bag)!!!
I then paid £3.80 for 2 bottles of water, I nearly died on the spot. The only good part was getting 200 L&B Menthol for £6 but its a small price to pay for all the hassle.

We were warned about the prices at the airport - so took loads of water with us, crisps etc etc. Wouldnt any way pay those sort of prices.

They were really hot on excess weight , there were 5 of us and we had to pay £20 as collectively we were a 'bit' over. We've always been over in previous years, so I guess we're paying our dues!

I wonder does anyone know if the little duty free shops will be open in the arrivals hall where the baggage carrousels are, near to the exit doors, in April as i was hoping to get a few bits on my way out of the airport.
Any replies would be helpful and appreciated xx
