Hi everyone
Off to paradise on the 27th June, staying at the Demircioglu Apartments. This is the first time we have stayed on that side of
Icmeler and we are keen to spend some time in the old village as we have heard good things.
Can anyone recommend the best places to visit and where they are located?
Thanks
Jane

Hi Jane
Sorry I cant help you. I stayed at Demircioglu last October but didnt venture as far as the old village. Must make an effort to do it this time.
I hope you have a fantastic time.

I think we stayed in the Old Village last year. It was our first time so please excuse my ignorance. We were near the road that takes you to Turunc and Marmaris, where the canal is dry and there is a horse wandering about

If i am right, we ate most nights at Tommy's and could not have asked for better. The children were 2 and 5 so we didn't venture too far. We are hitting town this year (until about 10pm) as they are mature now at 3 & 6

The restaurant I would recommend in the old village is Ozzy's never had a bad meal, another good one on the road to the old village is Mezane.

There is a cross roads near to Ozzys and there are around half dozen restaurants all within about 20 metres of each other and all are excellent

The old village is very relaxing ans scenic.
I would reccommend Love Star restaurant/bar, in the old village it is directly opposite Ozzy's on the main road into the centre.
They have a kids menu for your little ones and you will be spoilt for choice on the main menu.
Fantastic value for money.

They are ones that
ICR don't deal with but the canal was dry and we could stand on the road and the dolmus went straight to
Marmaris or Turunc, there was a little taxi rank as well. Thanks

It does very much sound like the back of the old village. Pm me with your apartments names if you want to. We stayed up at that end the first few time we went to Icmeler.

Diane and Reesy thank you will steer clear of Effes (not) it was our 1st time in Icmeler. This year we are staying at Kurt apartments which look to be closer to town but quiet as well. True blonde

Yes definately old village, I stayed there twice last year.
To me it's the ideal location, out they way but got dolmus going in both directions and taxi rank, a bar and a supermarket.

Whereabouts is the old village?
Been 3 times and going back again in May, and we have never been to the old village (at least not knowingly anyway)
From the main road (The one that Tansas is on) how do you get there?
15 Apr 2008 21:15
from tansas you can go striaght up the side of tansas and you will come to some bars and restaurants that is more the market side of village
if you go along main road from tansas turn up the road before you get to popins you will come to cross roads with traffic lights turn left at these lights and you will come to the dry canal turn right up any of the streets and you will get to village if its day light follow the smell of fresh bread
hope this helps a little

So is the old village further on than the market then?
