Well I usually find sun tan lotions cheaper here. We have a home bargains near us, but you can also get them at body care for the same price. Ambre Solaire is only £2.99 as aposed to £10-20 for the same brand in other shops.

Definitely cheaper here, in fact I stocked up today whilst I was at Tesco - buy one get one free on Nivea suncream (offer on until 8th April).
But if you run out while you're over there make sure you only buy from a chemist - the stuff you see in the bazaars/supermarkets is not always the real thing!

If you do have to buy suncream while away buy it from the pharmacist it should be the proper stuff.

A really good buy is go to your local chemist ask for a tub of Coconut
Its solid and keep it out of the sun or it melts
About a quid you get stacks of it

Suncreams only have a shelf life of 6 months before the uv or whatever it is protection starts breaking down
11 Apr 2008 17:08
I asked jeeves
Does sunscreen expire?
Yes. Look for an expiration date. Sunscreens have a shelf life of about 2 years after which time the chemicals separate from the solution. If your sunscreen feels gritty, the chemicals have likely separated and it should be thrown away.

The wife just bought some factor 40 kids Ambre Solaire from tesco - looked all over the bottle and there is no shelf life or date stamp on it anywhere.
