Boat Trip to Simi, FROM TURKEY

06 Apr 2008 10:59

I was thinking about a day trip to Simi, however this I understand is not possible to do in a day via Rhodes.

Does anybody know if boat trips go to Simi from Marmaris?

Hi Roger, and welcome to the forum :)

I would be interested in a boat trip to Simi too, but I don't think we can. Maybe Admin will let us know.

Thats what I seem to remember Bec, there was nothing there, a few bars etc but nothing of excitement, but again it was a few years since I have been

It's probably a good 8 years ago I went to Simi and as Bec and Collette have said , back then it was just a very pretty small Greek island with a harbour, a few natural sponge shops and waterside bars and cafes with houses built up into the mountainside - I don't recall wanting to bust a gut to get back there, actually I think I'd compare it to Turunc (!) with a few less shops!

Rhodes town is worth a visit - that's lovely - and of course you can get there very easily from Marmaris by hydrofoil in just over an hour.
