A Late Night walk Home

It was the middle of August,
All the music had finished in the bars,
The walk home along the promenade should have taken but a a few minutes to get to our apartment.
The air was so warm and heavy with the smell of jasmine,
the sea glinting under the light of the moon and there was just the sound of the lapping of the waves as they gently carressed the sands.
A full moon and a starry sky, lights twinkling on the horizon as another cruise ship leaves Marmaris.

Two people walking together, no worries,a gaze and a smile

Just a faint hope that this memory could last forever.

I will have to stop posting my thoughts after I come home from my sons pub after consumning a barrel of Fosters.

Hang on Gene was this you and Ann you were talking about as the Ann I know would have been shouting "gene hurry up you silly old sod" and would not have been gazing out to sea at the shiny moon and she would have also been saying "those bloody flowers stink"

Did you notice John not one mention of our Andre walking just behind us.
Just daydreams John of how things should be and of my thoughts and emotions that only Icmeler can ignite.
I havent been to the pub yet but still rambling on.

Its true John, Ann would have said those things, this proves my point that women arent half as romantic as us men.

My only wish is that Jan & I can follow your footsteps I am bad on my pins but for you I will try and hope for the same enjoyment and memories

That was very good Gene, one of the best things about Icmeler is it is not a 24 hour resort, it's very quiet late at night

I love that walk home around 2 or 3 in the morning, when the air is warm, and couples are making their way home. Then get to the hotel room, go out on the balcony and look across the bay, where the lights of Marmaris are still twinkling..... take one or two deep breaths and climb into bed alongside hubby who's already snoring and dead to the world. Oh well, there's always tomorrow
