hi i stayed here with my wife last year the hotel is basic but clean and idealy positioned right on beach(there is a strip of land in front of hotel but no building) the veiw from rooms are right across bay the hotel staff are pleasant and breakfast is standard ,toast eggs cheese olives juice tea and coffee , on time every morning but nothing to write home about, pool is great plenty of beds and it gets very hot beause the beds sit just below a small wall so you only get sea breeze if you stand up
the pool bar/restaurant is leased off the hotel so as such is a private venture this did cause us a problem as i personaly found the staff forceful to dine in their place which to be frank was very average
it is however ok for an sandwhich of pizza at lunchtime snacks etc
itis not a nice place for a meal at night there are many nicer places to eat
we did try the turkish nite the food was rubbish the staff worked hard to entertain but i wouldnt spend my money there if i had somewhere else to go it is a place where you would have a final drink before going to bed but the staff will hound you to book turkish night and ask why did you eat somewhere else this becomes very tired after second day
you will enjoy the elif when equiped with the info about the bar we did clash with a couple of bar staff and tryed to avoid them so not to upset us to much i like to be left alone
please note this was our view of elif we did meet someone from our town that had a great time and enjoyed the staffs company and food that because they wore very short skirts and were looking to meet young turkish men.

We stayed there in 2006. (Elif Hotel) - The rooms were fine, basic but clean and the bathroom was OK too. nice sea view from balcony if you ignore the bit of scrubland in front (why doesn't someone do something with that???)
Breakfasts were at the Blue Rainbow, which, at that time was the sister hotel.

We only used the pool once, as it was quite difficult to get a sunbed, but the beach is on the doorstep anyway.

The crowd in the bar were pushy, and completely different to the guys we knew before.

I wouldn't stay there again.

Hi

Although we have never stayed at the Elif Hotel, we went to the restaurant last August. I found the food pretty average but my husband thought his meal was very good.

We went as a family and found all the staff very polite and hospitable Although I have I heard similar comments to hamish, about the staff at the bar/restaurant. They do try to push the Tukish Night and ask why you haven't eaten there. We told them there were too many good restaurants and we wanted to sample them all while we were there on holiday, and they backed off.

I would stay at the Elif as the location to the beach and other bars is brill.

Just so everyone knows, the management (owners) of Elif Hotel has taken over the bar/restaurant and have confirmed that the problems that arose last year will not occur again esspecially under their new management.

We know that this hotel has many regular visitors and did have issues because of the bar outside so since the hotel management has taken over, have no hessitation to book for your long time favorite water front hotel.

Cheers

Agree with your write up, the service from the reception staff did leave a lot to be desired, mind the maid service we found to be fine and the bar staff were ok with us, but we also have been 4 times and have booked elsewhere this year.
