It is the re named Belle Vue hotel with a new management

Are the new management making any changes to the hotel apart from renaming it?

A friend of mine arrived at the Belle Vue last August to find the travel company she'd booked through had made a reservation for her in one of the attic rooms. She ended up having to find somewhere else to stay as the hotel was full and the room was so awful. It was a shame for her as it's in a great location - so central.

I wouldn't want to put anyone off booking this hotel as on the whole it's had OK reports and as I say is in a fab position, I just hope the new management are not using these attic rooms for paying guests (I have nothing against attic rooms, but these are/were dingy, hot, cramped and don't even have a window you can see out of let alone a balcony).

If you booked with that company then you would always get rubbish rooms and service and is why there was never a rep to be seen.

If it was garbage for us then we wouldn't sell it

I had a look at their rooms and the type of improvements they claimed to have done. I wanted to see the attic rooms as well since we had problems with them before and was the reason why we had not sold these rooms for a while.

Well, now the place looks much brighter. The attic rooms, although not too high with the ceiling, now have balconies added to them. The pool side is comletely refurbished and the rest of the rooms and toilets are done up yet this is not a 3 or 4 star hotel so I would still consider it as a well located economy class hotel suitable for couples who spend less time in rooms and stay out most of the days.

Rami is spot on the rooms were servicable but I'm sure the updating has improved them. Good central location budget hotel. Staff were lovely. Is Tango still there? :)

I dont think icemeler online would take this hotel on there books if there was anything not quite right about it

Admin you obviously know which company I'm talking about - personally I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.
I always do a DIY as I know Icmeler so well and it works out cheaper for me to do it this way. Perhaps my friend will become a DIY convert this year...
Thank goodness for companies like ICR, you get a far superior level of service and customer care.

I am quite sure that if a hotel is "garbage" you would not be selling it on ICR. But would it maybe be worth adding to the hotel description that it's been recently updated as well as stating it's under new management?

I'm glad to hear improvements have been made at this hotel and the attic rooms have been upgraded. It's a good value for money hotel and the location is great.

This was the description we put on a few weeks ago when we updated the site and the new people took over.

Eda Hotel is a good basic family run accommodation taken over by the Esenkoy Hotel management who will make you very welcome, it is centrally located within Icmeler town and very close to Halley's shopping centre, the numerous restaurants, bars and the beautiful beach with panoramic views of the bay.

We stayed at the Esenkoy in October and the family who ran the place were lovely - couldn't have been more friendly or done more for you. I couldn't praise them highly enough. They told us then they were in negotiations to take over another hotel, so I'm glad to hear that has happened. We're planning to come back to Icmeler some time this year, but we've not decided whether it will be a hotel or apartment for us this time round.

So glad that this hotel has been renovated, and not before time. We have stayed there 6 times and had one of the attic rooms twice. It didn't bother us too much as we are never in the room except to shower and sleep, but I can understand the complaints it got. Now that these rooms have balconies, I'm sure they will be fine.

I must say that we have had some of the best times of our life at the Bellevue (eda) and can't recommend it highly enough. It's only small, so you get to know everyone, and the location is perfect - very close to everything, but situated down a side street (across from the Geordie Bar) that's pretty quiet.

We have already booked for this year at another hotel, but will definitely be booking the Eda next year - through ICR, of course. :)
