Tracy,do you barter in jeweller shops,or pay the asking price??
dont normally go inside a jewellers, incase we end up buying something we dont want, just to get out of the shop, always look in the windows though, and have often wondered about wether you barter em down or not.
Thanks
Debi

I'm sure that if you were to say that it was out of your price range they would be prepared to be flexible - worth a try!

Yes I would say you can barter with them in the Jewellery shops, I didnt so much because our friend works there at Levent Jewellery - so found it hard to barter with him.

Hi Turkishdelight, that's exactley how i feel, not sure what to expect for your money.I would like to spend about £100,but like you,do not want to get ripped off.suppose the best thing to do,is to suss out a few jewellers, comparing prices etc before we make up our minds on anything.
And I am deffo goin to try and barter them down a bit.worth a try isnt it??
Good Luck to you, hope you get something nice.

Bought lots of jewellry in last few years in both
icmeler & marmaris. Always haggle and never been ripped off. Usually find would pay twice the price at home. Can recommend aquamarine 2 in icmeler.

I bought a lovely ring from Levent Jewellery - we went there because, as I said before my friend works there - and he doesnt get paid if he doesnt sell - so I thought if I am going to buy I will buy from him.
My ring is 14 ct yellow gold underneath - white gold on top with three diamonds set in yellow gold - its simpley but pretty (i think so anyway) paid £100 for it.
Give him a try - ask for Yilmaz and tell him Tracy sent you!

Icmeler where i purchased a beautiful 18 carat gold sapphire and diamond eternity ring, paid £200 and i bought it from Murat and Sona at Furuze. Lovely couple nothing to much trouble, give them a try.
