A lot of the veg are roasted, put them in a baking tray, brush with olive oil, season, and pop in a hot oven till tender....mmmmmmmmm

No boiling involved?

Hi there...

I don't boil my veg before roasting. Just drizzle with olive oil, plenty of garlic and a high heat in the oven for about an hour. This gives it time to carmelise.....mmmmmm fantastic.

Well, I think it might be something to do with the fact that it's only us that do that to spuds. I work in a pub and all the foreign cooks have to be told how to do do mashed/baked spuds the way we like them. It's the same with "scrambled" eggs. It doesn't make them bad chefs. It just means that we treat food in a different way to other people. Why do you think the "frogs" call us "Ros beefs"? It might be us and not the chefs. :D

I had the nicest mash I have ever tasted in Captain Bullshits.
We had it with liver & onions but there were also chips on the plate. I would have preferred all mash cos it was so good!
