10 Sep 2007 15:22

I'm worried about mine going :?

10 Sep 2007 15:26

good idea about fishing scales - you can buy them from the pound shops nowadays - they may not be 100% accurate but be as near as poss

10 Sep 2007 15:31

i would'nt bother with the cheap ones there rubbish, the digital ones are the best there 99% correct as long as your batterys are ok

10 Sep 2007 15:41

our cases were 9 kilos over and they never said a word at dalaman

10 Sep 2007 16:32

Think it depends which airline you fly with. We were 3 kilos over and got charged £21. The annoying thing was our hand luggage weighed next to nothing and if I'd have thought I could have taken some stuff out the case and put it in the backpack.

23 Sep 2007 16:50

I got charged £36 at Dalaman a couple of weeks ago ! wasn't too happy as i didnt get charged at Gatwick we flew with Thomas Cook ... so be careful.

:D Pauline :D

I also got charged at Dalaman £42 it would have been more but hubby had no hand luggage so I got a carrier bag and shoved about 3 kgs in that there was a rep from My Travel going up and down the queue telling people that they were to be charged and to put things in hand luggage. I cant complain we have been going twice a year for 7 years and have never been charged before I hadnt bought very much and had left all toileteries etc in apartment must have been my shopaholic husband

23 Sep 2007 20:10

Talking about extra charges and My Travel,a friend of mine told me She has been asked to pay £12 per person to ensure they are sat together on the plane. This sounds awful since they booked and paid about 6 months ago.Is this a typical ploy by some airlines to scare passengers into paying this ripoff.

just got back had no trouble with the wieght issues.

01 Oct 2007 09:50

I just got back on Saturday morning and they were charging people for extra kilos on our flight. Woman in front of me was charged £80 excess

01 Oct 2007 20:37

I've found it makes a difference who you fly with re whether you get charged for being overweight (the cases I mean not the person - don't get me started on that one :? :? lol )
IMHO First Choice seem to be red hot at charging for whatever/whenever they can for example, whereas Onur are v laid back

01 Oct 2007 23:37

we was with thompson

02 Oct 2007 23:08

onur air
my freinds flight was delayed 2 hours as they had to much luggage on board and had to take fuel off then go to istanbull for more fuel

as long as the just weigh the luggage and not the passengers or i have to pay a high price

we where under as usual hubby always panics about the weight
