Embarrassing Moments

06 Jul 2007 15:22

I think we need something new to talk about it is getting a little stale.

Has anyone had any embarrassing moments whilst on holiday in Turkey, last year I was walking through the bar one night and got my stiletto caught in the grates round the pool and took the grate with me, I felt such an idiot all the waiters came to my rescue while my hubby sat and laughed at me, I think I went a shade of red.

Come on everyone lets hear about your embarrassing moments whilst in Turkey :)

Last year I was very sick the first day we arrived (No not to much Efes)
we were in the Lighthouse when I needed to puke  There was someone in the ladies so I went to the gents but left the door open  . This poor man came in at the back of me there was me head down toilet him asking me if I was okay poor guy stayed with me until I was alright again bless him.

We met him a few nights later and you can imagine the remarks that were said.

Well one time last oct. there was a massive thurnder storm and it was our first night and wee had got a bit drunk so anyway we went along to say hi to everyone in eastnders since we had just arrived......I ran over to the bar slid and fell adn banged my head of the side of a table ALL the staff where in there

Also one time i was in Friends Bar They had my friend holly cleaning the glasses and i went behind the bar (again a little bit drunk) and slid on the water that she had spilt from the glasses everyone rushed to pick me up!

In Pleasure one time i tripped and fell up the stairs smashed my toe off the side of the step didnt notice until the next day and my toe was so swallow i couldnt get any shoes on even had trouble with flip flops...it looked like there was a 2 pence out of my big toe i had to go to the chemist where he cutt off the skin (ewww) and bandaged me up it looked like it was one of those joke bandages not good!

I think the moral of story is i should lay of the drinkies in turkey! oooh the shame! xxx

:?ok so this isn't an embarassing story about a holiday in Turkey. It could have been any holiday in any part of the world.
The hotel we were in was lovely, quite big and a wee bit posh, one of the 'gold' experiences. I got up for the loo one night and veered right into the wee alcove on the edge of our room and opened the door that led into our loo. Only problem was I should have turned left. Yes........you've guessed it; I ended up in the corridor at 2am, just as the lift to our floor as opening. Hubby was totally oblivious and snoozing off a rather heavy night on the bevvy. I was also rather the worse for wear and starkers and by now bending over trying to hide my 'bits', whilst trying to alert 'him indoors' of my predicament. By any standards not a pretty sight, one giant behind smiling at you as you innocently try to get 'home'. How these poor people managed to keep their supper down I will never know. To cut a long story short I did eventually got back into the room, made a beeline for the loo and lived to laugh it off the next day with all the new best friends I'd met earlier that morning !!

A couple of years ago, I was in an internet cafe with my husband and daughter, and she was sitting on a metal, 2 seater chair, she asked me to sit next to her, and as I did the chairs legs gave way and (in slow motion)I fell to the floor, legs a kimbo  , everyone laughed , especially my darling husband and me. The staff were really worried (although I did catch a few smirking faces ) I didnt hurt myself, so we all had a good laugh................. the chair is still there by the way :?
