hiya going to icmeler in 3 weeks....... 
......for the 4th time, but after a 7 year gap...... 
, has it changed much and has anyone stayed in the 'mete apartments'? infomation would be good.

Cant help you with the Mete,but you will find a huge difference in Icmeler,
a lot of buildings and bars gone,new hotels and apartments,all streets are now block paved,shopkeepers no longer able to display their goods outside of the shops,loads of stalls in the indoor market closed down.
More little shops lining the canal but these to are just boxes and the old fashioned sprawl has gone everything seems so clinical.
Hotel Marti have taken over all the beach in front of their complex.
I was there in May and the lights that used to adorn the bridges these also have been removed
The village itselfe has undergone a massive building program and in 7 years dozens of Hotels apartment blocks and private developement have taken place.
A lot of negatives, but the place is cleaner,more flower borders and the people still as friendly as they were 7 years ago.
You will still have a memorable holiday.

Haven't stayed at these apartments but did frequent the bar every night and had a great time.Spoke to people who were staying there and they were very happy with them.
