does anybody know the situation with the new notes in turkey? will they readily be accepted?

Seriously though, you shouldn't have problems until the Bank of England officially withdraw them.

You will be fine with both old and new £20 notes, when i was there last week i had both changed at the change office for lira and no questions were asked.
