Can anyone help?

I have told my friend in Icmeler that when I return in August I will bring my old mobile phone for him. He has said I need papers and a stamp at the airport so that he will be able to use it in Turkey can anyone tell me what I have to do to so that the phone will work for him.

I heard that too-apparently its quite a hard thing to organize.

Take the receipt of your phone with you and declare at the airport with the people at customs.

I have just do this one week ago,so i now this is the right way:

Take phone and the paper who say the owner of the phone,and passport and go to a Turkcell-shop.Then they will register IMEI-number.This is for free,and then phone working all life with turkish sim-card.Its no longer possible do it in airport.
