Have just viewed the camera and Icmeler is wakening up after its winter recess! The shutters are opening and the sun blinds down against the sun and the skies are so blue!! Well, it won't be long before it is inhabited by the holiday makers once again. So looking forward to coming back

Got the accommodation & transfer sorted last night, so we're all set for May 11th.

Need the holiday after a health scare at the start of the year.

As of April 22nd not very much open.Ida in the square fully opened including pool,BS beach bar opened on 22nd. Deniz Kapisi never shut.Bahar apts bar and pool are open.The beach was being cleaned up in general and sunshade poles were being sunk into the sand.Palmiye beach cafe next door to the closed Fantasia hotel is a nice sun trap and the beach furniture looks lovely.Cafe del Mar on the hill has been demolished but just left in a pile at the side of the Marmaris walkway. Three (4) bells opened kitchen 25th.Sonys, Linekers Tipsi burger all open.Nothing happening at Wembley or Sidiks up to 22nd.Ellies bar at Golden Moon open.Tin Tins also open.Lots of places in Marmaris open.New Majestic restaurant opened on Marmaris Long Beach near to Captains and Pandora.The David Gest lookalike than fronted Ida last season is working there.Jan from canal Majestic running the show.Dolmus up to 3ytl,however the council buses are 2.5ytl and take you up to Kipa on the top road.Will be a lot quieter than previous years as some have noted,with the merging of two or three hotels within the same chain.Taxi boats are up and running. Efes varies in price from 8.5ytl at Tin Tins to 12ytl at Deniz Kapisi. The weather up until leaving on 22nd was mid 30's and absoutely beautiful. Everyone have a great summer in Icmeler,and only 5 weeks and 5 days until we return.Enjoy folks

Thanks for that update, inch - the "David Gest" lookalike you mention is Ali (Alex) who was at the Ida last year, as you say, and previously haad a couple of bag shops - one on the square and previously across the road near Hobnobs. He was also at the Bonjour for a while a few years back too.

Cafe del Mar was an illegal building it did not have permission to build on the land and the laws were simply enforced
